Meditation: Inspirational Music

The meditation music on this page is useful as a stepping stone to silence and relaxation. It can be beneficial as a time out from your daily activities.  Furthermore, the path to enlightenment offers us a chance to observe the mind and to focus on object consciousness. It is then possible to go beyond mind, body and object consciousness to experience the dimension of universal life energy. This void is vibrating in response to life-form impulses.

It is from here that the unmanifested becomes the manifested that we experience as a human. Meditation, with practice, reveals that there is no duality such as the mind insists that we think and believe. It is a practice where an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing their mind on a particular object, thought or activity – to practice awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm state of presence.

The Journey Back to the One

* “Some of the earliest written records of meditation (Dhyana), come from the Hindu traditions of Vedantism around 1500 BCE.[1] The Vedas discuss the meditative traditions of ancient India.[1] Around the 6th to 5th centuries BCE, other forms of meditation developed in Taoist China and Buddhist India. Dhyana in early Buddhism also takes influence on Vedanta by ca. the 4th century BCE.[1]”

* “The exact origins of Buddhist meditation are subject to debate among scholars.[3] Early written records of the multiple levels and states of meditation in Buddhism in India are found in the sutras of the Pāli Canon, which dates to 1st century BCE.” * Source: Wikipedia
