Do You Live in the Suchness of Now?

Have we forgotten how to live? Sound ridicules? This question is not as crazy as you think. Why do we insist on avoiding the suchness of life? We overlook the simplicity that is at the foundation of life and love. Complexity is the name of the game in our world. So, we make the endeavors associated with interpreting and defining life and love our priorities. But, just living and loving have become secondary in our life experiences. We are usually busy doing something or asking questions about everything. Thus, we see the beauty and true significance of being here and now as trivial. This same pattern of misunderstanding is evident in matters of the heart, such as love. We insist on pursuing our love interpretations and expectations, instead of just pure and simple loving.

suchness

The awakening of self-consciousness was wonderful and equally burdening. Mind development overshadowed this awakening. Thus, conditioned behavior became the foundation of our existence through the intervention of the mind. And, many of these patterns still contaminate a modern existence that is relatively simplistic. Consequently, and ultimately, the suchness of life is undeniable. And yet, we usually want life to be anything other than what it is now. Nevertheless, perhaps a conscious evolution is upon us. More and more people are consciously aware.  There is always the suchness (Tathātā, Buddhism) of now. Therefore, living within presence frees us from the concepts of the mind. Not by avoiding the mind. But, rather by accepting thoughts, emotions and situations as temporary. Continue reading

Lao Tzu Shows Us the Way and So Can You

Jesus, Buddha, Lao Tzu, and other sages were aware of the possibilities within the field of conscious awareness. The key is to recognize universal knowledge as the essence of being. Thus, you spontaneously live life beyond word, labels and mind details. Yet, you accept mind aspects as a part of the isness of living. However, continual tapping into the spaciousness of presence frees you from mind dominance during any situation. Hence, life is an energy field that pulsates with active consciousness. And, this consciousness is universal. This is a space of oneness that we all share. Furthermore, this is a realm of nothingness from which everything manifests.

Lao Tzu

Jean-Paul Charles Aymard Sartre expresses our existence through the following insight in his book Being and Nothingness.

“At first man is nothing. Only afterward will he be something, and he himself will have made what he will be.”
and
“Man is nothing else but what he makes of himself.”

Truly living, rather than existing, so to speak, is enough without searching for an ultimate label or reason for being. The past nor the future offer no enlightenment of life and living in this moment. So, this is to say, that life is a mystery best to experience as a mystery. The first chapter of the Tao Te Ching (Lao Tzu 604-531 BC) expresses this mystery as the Tao (The Way). Continue reading

Your Role in the Source Code of Life

Both life and love energy can nurture our true inner nature. This acknowledgement allows an uninhibited conscious awakening, when we are ready.  Conscious awakening could signify a turning point in our evolution. The evolution of humankind’s mental and physical development guides us down a path of confusion. And, it first appears as if this is a path of no return. Still, self-consciousness is the gateway to universal consciousness. We are aware of ourselves, life and the universe. Thus, it is possible to find The Way back to the source. The source, which is universal, is the true nature of being. This is the isness of now.

However, we create an illusion of separation through assumptions, beliefs and conditioning. This causes a misinterpretation of life and love. Therefore, people base living and loving strictly on conceptual interpretations.  Since the dawn of self-consciousness our development consists of every-changing, self-inflected complexity. And, the mind dominates self-consciousness. Hence, we live in a state of unawareness. It is understandable that we have lost our way. And yet, self-consciousness is the key to our conscious awareness evolution at a universal level. Continue reading

Realize Your True Potential

Universal life energy vibrates every moment. Let’s cut through the Spiritual jargon’s and simply say energy vibrates.  And, there are many frequencies within this flow. Evolution and conditioning manipulate our observation of life. Thus, people misconstrue everything. Still, we sense these vibrations. And, these pulsations are constant. Also, we realize, at least vaguely, the potential within this energy.  Furthermore, these influence us and we influence the frequencies. But, it is difficult to stay consciously within the flow. This is because the mind still misinterprets or dismisses such conscious sensations. However, there is a beneficial stepping stone to conscious living. Acknowledge that you do not need the mind to live in a state of presence.

Nonetheless, the mind will forcefully continue to interfere with the unfolding of our life experience. Hence, the mind’s static discharges restrict the expansion of conscious energy. Unawareness to the isness of this moment causes a person to misunderstand the simple, unconditional act of living. Likewise, living in a state of awareness causes a person to readily accept the mind’s version of reality. Correspondingly, thoughts and emotions fuel the mind’s interpretation of life and living. Do You Embrace Life or Push It Away?

The word embrace offers a signpost to conscious awareness. Do you wish to live in balance and harmony? If yes, then welcome life with open arms. This gateway can offer a clearer understanding of life and living. This is a practical stepping stone in moving beyond mind limitations.  Nevertheless, the majority of people are anxious and fearful in daily activities. We cover-up anxiety with superficial and temporary distractions. Therefore, mind and body are always nervous with little or no genuine inner stillness.

embrace

But, mind-generated energy seeks a way out. Thus, this energy flow affects your interactions, whether personal or collective. And, the point of focus determines your life experience. So, please practice using the word as a signpost to the space that is beyond the mind. Your center of conscious attention is the gateway. I personally practice using the word embrace during various activities. Years ago, I came to realize that I almost always practice this in my experiences. An example of this would be my philosophy on weather conditions. I always embrace any weather condition, regardless if this is rain, snow, hot or cold. I literally consciously hug the heat or cold that I experience. Again, and again it is fascinating to observe how my state of conscious awareness benefits from this exercise. Continue reading

Are You Too Serious About Everything?

Everything seems so serious. True, any given moment might involve a situation that needs attention. All of which seem so real and often very serious. Likewise, we use rigid values as guidelines in all we do. William Shakespeare summarized our behavior well in his play Much Ado about Nothing. People fanatically complain, overreact and cause commotion over insignificant details.  Occasionally, such behavior might have a practical purpose that is, at best, temporary.  Furthermore, this can restrict our conscious awareness. Thus, limits our life experience.

serious

So, often we view life as a collection of events that are quite serious. Nevertheless, let’s reflectively consider if everything is as earnest as we think.  Our level of conscious awareness decides everything. Therefore, an unaware person is quick to agree with any thoughts and beliefs. On the other hand, a consciously aware person is likely to objectively observe everything with non-attachment. So, it is feasible to suggest the following. The seriousness of any given situation doesn’t result from the details within the moment. Instead, we attach complexity to everything due to our interpretation. The interpretation derives from mental reactions that initiate due to conditioning factors.  This imposes a sense of significance onto situations that are actually insignificant. But, everything is as it is in any moment. This is true, regardless how we interpret something. Continue reading

Slow Down and Just Take It Easy

Do you remember a moment that went on and on forever? This is a moment when everything is just right. It doesn’t happen often for most people. We think of it as a chance occurrence. Furthermore, we assume that such a moment has no significance. Nevertheless, aware presence offers a perspective without mind, body and time restrictions. So, indeed, a moment of conscious awareness is very significant. You don’t believe what I just wrote? Great, because consciously living life isn’t about believing or thinking. Presence is about being in this moment. And, everything will seem to slow down. Do you realize the power you yield through your awakening to conscious living? Concepts, definitions and labels lose significance as you tap into a conscious state of living.

“True Power is within, and it is available now.” – Eckhart Tolle

slow

Still, the mind screams out. It tells you that a conscious state of being is useless. This statement is legitimate when seen strictly from a mind restricted perspective.  Things happen ongoing. And, here also, the mind screams to you in non-acceptance of a situation, person or even its own thoughts. But, the mind fails to realize living life doesn’t depend on any fabricated details. The details of the moment are of mind. But, the moment itself, also known as presence, is, regardless of the details. Acknowledge this deeply. And, you will always live outside of the mind-made box of concepts and limitations. Continue reading

Object Space Occupation and You

This almost sounds like the title for a science fiction thriller. However, the focus of this article is to awaken your awareness to the space you occupy. Firstly, acknowledge that you are an object that occupies space. Does this sound ridiculous? You know that you are here. But, do you really know what it means to be here now? Everything tangible occupies space. At least, this is how we interpret it through sensory perception. But, there is so much more of a non-tangible something than there is tangible entities in the universe. Here are some fun facts.

– The universe comprises the following.
– 68% dark energy (unknown properties and pushes matter outward)
– 27% dark matter (unknown properties and pulls matter inward)
– 5% normal matter (you, me and all objects)

object

And, astonishingly, 99.9999999% of any tangle object (this means you) is non-space. Let’s call this emptiness. 95 percent of the universe is dark energy and dark matter. Let’s just simplify these terms. There is more non-manifested empty/beingness than manifested isness/beingness. So, what is the common denominator in the universe? Everything is here and now as an expression of being this moment. Still, the insight I share today is not a lesson in science. So, don’t let the mind pull you in that direction. Continue reading

The Grey Zone We Call Life

Active awareness is available to us. However, let’s be honest with ourselves. We basically live neither here nor there. The following article illustrates our tendency to stay within a grey zone. So, please sit in silence. Become aware of the background clutter within this moment. But, don’t attach yourself to these distractions. It seems difficult. Nevertheless, try. Surprisingly, you might discover that insignificant details congest 99 percent of your now experience. What does this mean? This suggests that what the mind deems as real is only conceptional and unrelated to the essence of this moment.

grey

A state of conscious being has nothing to do with the content of this moment. This may sound confusing. Nevertheless, confusion and fear arise easily in this grey zone. It is a place that seldom offers long-term satisfaction and fulfillment. And, it often holds us captive in a limbo state of existence. What does this featureless area mean in relation to consciousness?

Firstly, a conditioned mind causes a lack of conscious awareness to the mind’s activities. You might insist that you are very aware of the mind activities. But, actually, thoughts and emotions congest awareness. Thus, it might appear that you are aware. But, you are only aware of the manipulative details of a given moment. Awareness to the moment itself, is different than the distractions that come and go. The grey zone is an existential structure resulting from a lack of depth and focus in our conscious awareness. Furthermore, this pattern of living has become the standard in our daily experiences. So, do you wish to change how you live life? Then, ask yourself the following question. Continue reading

complexity

Complexity Must not Be a Way of Life

Simplicity is within every molecule of the universe. No, I am not oversimplifying nor making an inaccurate suggestion.  Life is. Being is. Things are. We are. This is the equation of beingness.  Thus, we are part of a universality that is essentially simple. This simplicity flows thought all objects in a state of being. But, we have somehow lost touch with this enlightening knowledge. Likely, the confusion, fear, and manipulation apparent in our existence are a direct result of evolution and social development. There is a very dark shadow hovering over humankind, which is mostly unknown to most of us. Its influence and overwhelming power are, however, very real on the level of our experiences. Complexity in life is a standard assumption based on pragmatism. This has become the rule of thumb in daily activities.

complexity

Likewise, evolution and mind-conditioning cause us to be unaware. We live in a state of unconscious beingness. Remember, being is. Nothing more and nothing less. Life is a manifestation of being. We can call life a frequency of the universal. This frequency, as with all energy, is of one source. So, why do we take this simplicity and twist it into complex structures. Complexity, which we deem as being a true reality, is only a mind-made construction. Thus, we generate a very misconstrued state of being. The mind does this by manufacturing a world of abstracts and illusions. A dominating mind causes difficulty and suffering due to misinterpretations of living here and now. Thus, our evolution is both a blessing and a curse. Continue reading
