Expectation Distracts Us from Living Life

Understandably, most people encounter day to day activities. And therefore, have primary concerns that distract them from living, truly living, and experiencing life and the presence of being. Expectation and demands overshadow our experience of life. Furthermore, and strangely enough, something unexpected is always happening. But, change is constant in a universe of things/objects.

expectation

It might still be difficult for you to accept, but you (presence) are constant. This will become obvious to you after the shift from mind to conscious awareness has begun. Yes, things happen and will continue to happen. But how you observe yourself and the mind will give you clarity. This, in turn, will determine how you perceive everything that unfolds in this moment. John Lennon offers beneficial insight into living life fully. Continue reading

echo

You Are an Echo of the Universe

What happens when you shout from a mountain top into a valley? This causes an echo. The echo vibrates across the valley, bouncing from mountain to mountain. The vibration of your voice is a process of articulatory phonetics. The vocal cords vibrate. This produces sound. Now imagine. Astonishingly, all objects in the universe pulsate with energy. Furthermore, and equally incredible is the knowledge that objects are the manifestation of energy.

echo

“Ultimately, all matter is just vibrations of various underlying fields.” (www.earthsky.org) the article on this site suggest that consciousness is the result of how energy vibrates. So, just for fun. Let’s paraphrase the above excerpt. Everything that manifests in the universe results from energy. Furthermore, these frequencies become conscious of themselves through universal objects. Hence, this suggest that these vibrations are the essence of consciousness, both object and universal. Mutually, being one and the same. Continue reading

world

The World is Changing Because of You

The ego and mind conditioning are still very predominant in many people. This results in a strengthening of fear and anxieties in humans. It is difficult for people to go beyond this human nature and nurture an awakening to consciousness. The Bible, among other literature, has stories that offer possible insight into a conscious awakening. There is one such example in which Jesus told the disciples about the end of the world. However, the word world had another meaning during this period of our history. Jesus lived during a period when it basically meant an age or an epoch. Jesus may very well have given his disciples and all human beings a message about the awakening of consciousness. But have we misinterpreted his teachings?

world

Still, a new age or era is within our reach, consciously speaking. It may very well be necessary for our evolution. This change will affect our manner of thinking and believing. It may indicate the end of the world as we have known it. This could mean a true apocalypse, an end to everything that the mind has interpreted and defined. This does not necessarily mean an end but rather a new beginning. Whereby we base reality on conscious interaction and not on mind content, interpretation, and definition. Continue reading

prison

Prison of the Mind and You Have the Key

There is a place that is always within reach. This place is a dimension of unbounded possibilities. The mind knows of this place and probably doesn’t care if there is such a space. Because, this place is beyond the mind. Thus, conscious awareness remains just out of reach. Likewise, problems arise when we aren’t actively aware of the mind’s activities. This creates a prison of the mind.

prison

This prison is of our own design. We build and rebuild this cage on a foundation of Thoughts, beliefs, conditioning, and fear. And, we choose to stay entrapped within the walls. But, these are only walls that exist in the mind. Yet, are not really a part of the mind. Or are they? The mind processes information. The mind thinks. The next consideration is whether a person thinks that he or she is the mind. Or, is our true self the observer of the mind? The mind itself is probably indifferent to what we do with the information it processes. And, the mind does not intend to trap us. Only thoughts and emotions comprise the mind cage. However, these seem so real. Continue reading

jump

Jump the Gun but Why Try to Run from Now?

Jump the gun is an idiom and probably known worldwide. Originally, known as beat the gun in track and field competitions. This quote has a spiritual significance for us to consider. The now is constant. It may be the only true constant in the universe. This moment is an expression of presence. Now is Undeniable. So how does the idiom help us to understand the isness of now?

jump

This is the internet definition for Jump the Gun.

informal:
Act before the proper time.

Synonyms: act prematurely, act too soon, be too/overly hasty, be precipitate, be rash

informal:
Be ahead of oneself.

Here we see the usefulness of this phrase in conscious awakening. The two explanations of Jump the Gun offer an open passage to our relationship with the now. This is a sign post that points toward enlightenment. What is enlightenment? We can say that enlightenment is awareness that offers change. Lao Tzu shares the following insight about awareness. way

Life Is the Way so Please Don’t Stray

Things happen each day and thereby we often ask why?
There is no plan engraved in stone.
Who is to really say what may come and go our way?
No screenplay of life is to be read and rehearsed.
To live life is the way.

way

There are things that cause happiness or dismay.
To these we can really only say, what may come will be.
Then there are experiences that confuse and cause fear.

Disappointment Is Just Around the Corner

Most people experience disappointment. But, have you ever asked yourself why? I am not referring to you wanting a Mercedes, but instead getting a Volkswagen. Expectations and attachment cause dissatisfaction. So, ask yourself. Do I expect something? If yes, what is it? If so, why the attachment to my expectancy? And lastly, what happens if I don’t get what I want?

disappointment

It is beneficial to consciously observe the mind when you ask these questions. You should not base the answers on the thoughts or feelings about what you want. Otherwise, you experience disappointment again and again. Is long-term mind satisfaction possible? No, only in intervals and for a short time. We are notorious for finding reasons to complain and be unhappy. Let’s call this behavior a paradise complexity. We expect a perfect paradise, without cares, worries, hurt, or fear. Furthermore, this expectancy dates back to the dawn of modern humankind. Continue reading

Turn Off the Engine and Walk

Don’t let the title mislead you. Our discussion is not about an engine or the environment. Although, ultimately, there is a connection between everything. The mind is a motor. Experiences, memories, and emotions are catalysts. Thoughts are the fuel. Conditioned behavior starts the motor.

engine

Unconsciousness a.k.a. unawareness is the road map we use to travel on after the engine starts. Naturally, the mind always functions. Therefore, please note that our discussion refers to our interaction with the mind. We do not need to ask or define why the mind does what it does. However, our observation of the mind is paramount for conscious awareness. This observer/mind relationship is either conscious or unconscious. Sounds simple enough. Still living consciously is difficult until it is not. What am I suggesting? Conscious observation of how you live will spontaneously and naturally blossom during the process of conscious awakening. Suddenly you are consciousness without understanding how you became actively conscious. The knowing is significant. And consciously being (living) is the ultimate experience of enlightenment. conditioned

A Conditioned Mind Sways from Place to Place

There is one love, one consciousness, and one state of being. Humans, animals, plants, and the entire universe are a part of this oneness. We need one another to share, grow, and mature in our experiences of love, unity, and life. We consider that the two parts of duality as necessary to balance the universal scale. But this type of conditioned thinking may be nothing more than another mind game.

conditioned

I do not wish to suggest that such a thing as feminine/masculine or yin/yang do not exist, but rather I would like to ask why these exist. We have actually defined energy as having male and female characteristics. Again, my wish is not to deny established concepts. But, I do question how and why we always interpret and define such things. The slow process of conditioned behavior and reactions has been ongoing throughout our species’ development. This has resulted from our unawareness to the unbounded and unmanifested space within each moment. This is where life energy is always present, and object consciousness has a much stronger influence on universal consciousness than most people realize. Continue reading

forgiveness

Forgiveness and Love on the Path of Life

Many people assume love comes from a source greater than ourselves. We created love and we are responsible for how we experience love. But, this is difficult for the mind to accept. Love, as with consciousness, is energy. But, we often misinterpret the origin and depth of love because the mind demands explanations. However, the flow of love—and life energy, for that matter—originates in you. Forgiveness is a helpful stepping stone on the path of true self-discovery. Why? Because misinterpretations of love often cause suffering. Furthermore, you see yourself as a pawn and victim of love. But, universally speaking, we can purify love and life through the simple act of consciously living.

forgiveness

Yes, I am suggesting that each person is essentially the source of universal energy. Hence, this energy becomes conscious and learns to express love. Does the power of thinking or believing influence how or if it manifests? It would first seem that love, in itself, has nothing to do with how it manifests. Or does it? My intention is not to play a word game with you. The point of these questions is to give us an understanding of love. We should focus on being love and not on mind concepts of love. There is a difference, spiritually and universally speaking. Continue reading
