Spider Web and Dangling Thoughts

When does something become a routine?  When does this routine become conditioned behavior? Daily activities tend to become routines. This is unavoidable. But, then again almost anything can become a pattern of repetition. This could be things that we physically and mentally do. A clearer understanding of the latter is significant for awakening to consciousness. The mind becomes a spider web. And unconscious behavior patterns have entangled us. Still, a routine or conditioned behavior can really only be detrimental if we remain unconscious.

Yes, on the flip side, it is beneficial to be aware of a conditioned behavior. But, your relationship with the mind decides how you will live. Moreover, your awareness to this relationship is primary. Thus, what you think or do is secondary. Do you consciously or unconsciously do or think something? “Living oblivious to living is still typical for most people.” Please pause and reflect on the previous sentence. There is a sign post there beyond the words. Operant conditioning is the basis for the interaction with ourselves, the world, universe, and life. Operant (also known as instrumental conditioning) is similar to classical conditioning. Both restrict conscious awareness during our experiences.

Spider web in Your Mind

The psychologist B.F. Skinner did extensive work in human conditioning. Furthermore, he suggested that free will is an illusion. It is, therefore, related to our discussion because we seek enlightenment, balance, and harmony. Simply said, we seek freedom from the mind. I personally feel that free will is any objects’ naturally state of being. We could have an intimate relationship with life. This is always possible. However, this is only possible when we can differentiate. Are we living consciously and experiencing free will? Or, are we living in behavioral patterns that restrict the flow of life energy. Additionally, this restriction blocks our acceptance of consciousness.

Consequently, it is your conscious observation (not mind reaction) to a situation that determines how you live. Will you remain entangled in the spider web of the mind? Or will you will accept clarity and harmony through active observation? This suggests that you are responsible for choosing to live in a state of enlightenment or not. An unconscious thought or behavior can contaminate, manipulate, and restrict conscious enlightenment. But only if you allow it to interfere with living. Will you awaken to the essence of your being and allow it manifest without mind interference? How can conscious awakening benefit you? Deep within you already know the answer without needing to ask.

Wishing you a nice day!
