How to Add a Spice to Life

A spice adds flavor or taste to food. Therefore, let’s use this descriptive word to express your conscious awakening. Do you have a zest for life? And, do you wish to live life to its fullest? If yes, then the practice of conscious awareness is beneficial. It is a process. Everything you experience is a spice that adds flavor to life.  However, your active participation is necessary. Indeed, how you observe any moment determines the outcome of your experience.

Let’s illustrate how the flavor of life can alter through any given experience. I will use a personal experience for this example. Recently, I cleaned my apartment. Suddenly, my focus was on the reflection in a mirror. I observed my mouth. My attention remained on my mouth as the act of breathing become obvious to me.

I cannot explain how. But, my entire state of aware beingness focused on breathing. I felt the air enter and expand in my body. It was clear that breathing was the spice that gave life depth and flavor. Continue reading

The words in this title describe the awakening of a person to the possibilities of life beyond the mind. Thus, spiritual transformation is a term that we often use for this shift. What happens to a person during this process? Does the person actually change? Or, does this person simply and deeply awaken to the true act of being alive?

What is the purpose of our existence? But, this question and the need to know is the root of much confusion, fear and judgement. Are You Having a Lousy Day?

How is your day? Are you having a lousy day or a good day? What is the determining factor in how you experience what happens? The answer is looking back at you 😊 in the mirror. You are the one and truly only determining factor in how you experience any given moment.

We often scurry through our daily activities in a state of limbo unawareness. And, life literally passes by without us knowing why.  Thus, situations and people seem to influence how we experience life. However, conditioning taught us to think and believe that things and people are responsible for how we live. But, what we have learned is not actually true. Therefore, you can change how you live. Deconditioning through awareness to how you observe living, offers enlightenment. Live life fully, don’t just exist. Let’s use the definition for limbo to expand our discussion.

Limbo is an uncertain period of awaiting a decision or resolution; an intermediate state or condition. This is how the majority of people experience life. Why is living this way so typical? Basically, because we are not aware enough to establish a change in our behavioral responses. Hence, the shadows of our behavior characteristics darken out the brilliance of living life. The act of being alive, in itself, is an incredible experience, regardless of temporary day to day downfalls. And, conscious living is quite easy to establish as baseline for living life.
