Togetherness within the Totality of Life

The key to living in harmony with life is based on togetherness. It goes hand in hand with object existence and consciousness. What is togetherness? This is not the superficial act of being together with other people and things in the universe. Still, the sheer inseparable nature of existence is oneness. Everything is essentially and ultimately absolute.

But, our emotions, conditioned behavior, and ego induces separation. This causes blockage in the natural flow of universal energy. This, in turn, causes an imbalance in our localized field of object consciousness. We know that there is a natural frequency of life. But, it seems difficult to find and more so to remain in the flow. What this frequency consist of is secondary. The splendor lies in consciously observing this frequency. It is essential to understand the significance of true togetherness that is within this dimension. Eckhart Tolle refers to something similar to this in his book “Realizing the Power of Now”. Alive: That’s What It Is All About

You are alive. It’s great! Isn’t it? Or, do we sometime forget that it is wonderful? This article is a follow up to our discussion about enlightenment. You live. Moreover, it is possible for you to be aware; to be conscious; at least sometimes. You know this because you smell the flowers, you laugh and you feel pain. Your memory recalls sights and smells. These are part of our human experience. Still, each and every encounter is also an enlightened experience.

It is best to emphasize again and again that spiritual awakening has nothing to do with reaching a divine state. Rather, it is the acknowledgement that every moment is about accepting life’s divinity. Otherwise, a person may spend an entire existence trying to find the secret of living. The act of being alive is the manifestation of life. This is not something that you define, plan or expect. It is simply about being that which manifests. Continue reading

Enlightenment: All Paths Lead Back to You

Many people wish to reach spiritual bliss. We interpret this as something that will give us peace and happiness. However, must you feel good or must everything be blissful before you can experience enlightenment? This is unlikely because a universe of objects is not permanent. There will always be changes occurring that can cause confusion and discomfort at the level of a life-form.

enlightenment

Enlightenment, regarding living consciously, does not necessarily become obvious only when we are blissful and without worry. The relationship with yourself, this moment, the universe and life contribute to consciously experiencing living and loving. A state of enlightenment is a constant. You either acknowledge, accept and allow enlightenment or not. But, it will be difficult to experience if you are not willing to accept both the limitations of your existence and the divinity of being. Continue reading

Awaken and Enjoy the Dream

You are on a picnic. It is a lazy summer afternoon. The birds are singing. Crickets are chirping in the tall grass nearby. A breeze carries the fragrance of wild flowers and strawberries. The moment becomes an eternity. There is the soft buzz of a flying grasshopper in flight. Perhaps the joy of flying is something that all beings share. Suddenly, this buzzing becomes louder. The dream scene fades away. Awaken, the alarm clock is ringing.

The dream had seemed so real. Sadness overcomes you because it has ended. Still, it was beautiful and very tranquil. Likewise, in that moment, you feel totally rested. Therefore, you smile. Not to mention, you sense equilibrium. You sense everything. The interaction with your surroundings is similar to a dream state. How would you describe it? It is to awaken from a dream and realize you are still dreaming. Continue reading

Living Is to Be Alive: Start Now!

Living is so much more than the methods and concepts of the mind. Still, the mind can be useful in the experience of life. This is to say, when we use it wisely. I recently read and viewed inspirational stories of individuals. These people, of all ages, have overcome mental and physical hardships to rise above all expectations. This caused me to repeatedly (non-stop) cry as I reflected on how marvelous it is to be a human being. Not to mention, the beauty of living and consciously knowing that we are alive. We are.

Yet, there is a flip side. We still argue, fight and kill each other as well as initiate unthinkable acts on ourselves, others and the world. All of which are primarily based on unconsciousness. It seems such a terrible waste; although I realize that this behavior originates in our evolution. Continue reading

Nike Wisdom: Just Do It

The act of thinking can cause us to detour away from consciousness. Likewise, this can be very manipulative and restrictive. You are alive! Living is primarily about being. Obviously, we do not really need to think about living. This discussion is an extension of the recent article Restrictions of Life and love. This long-running (no pun intended) Nike tennis shoe commercial offers us a universal wisdom of living.

Nike wisdom

The company’s philosophy is “Just Do It”. Nike naturally wants to promote the sale of shoes. Still, the simplicity of this insight is profound in regards to existence. Likewise, this wisdom can be very beneficial in our conscious awakening process. Also, living becomes simplified when we just do it (just allow it). Yet, additionally, there is something for us to consider. To simply be and to allow does not necessarily imply doing anything. Presence implies doing through the simple act of being. Ambush of the Mind: Know the Signs

A few people have written to me about a quote from Alan Watts relating to muddy water. Firstly, it is beneficial to remember that words and things are vulnerable to assumptions and interpretations. This acknowledgment can be helpful in conscious expansion. However, the mind will ambush us in any and every moment. This is our conditioning. We are usually not aware of the mind’s intervention. Therefore, we remain a victim of its deception. This can happen during an unconscious reaction to any word, thought, person or situation. Here is the quote.

“Muddy water is best cleared by leaving it alone.”
– Alan Watts

ambush

You can read this insight in his book “The Way of Zen” He shared wisdom that originates from universal intelligence. We can also tap into it in any moment. Yet, the mind interferes. This compels us to analyze and dissect. It is wise to leave the muddy water of life undisturbed (in peace). It does not suggest that we should avoid or deny something. The mud, as a term, could signify the details of our existence. He originally wrote this to indicate that society judge’s meditation and passiveness as wasteful and non-productive. Continue reading
