Mirror, Mirror on the Wall Who Am I?

The mirror from the story Snow White is well-known to most people. The evil queen wanted recognition as the fairest person of them all. And, this behavior suggests that the queen had gone mad due to what she saw in the mirror. But, the evil queen did not see her true self. Neither, with or without a mirror. Furthermore, what she saw in the mirror was strictly of the mind. These mind interpretations obscured the innate presence, stillness and beauty within the queen. The queen’s dilemma happens to us each day because we look but do not truly see.

Okay, let’s expand on this topic. What happens when you stand in front of a mirror? What do you see? You probably answer this question with the obvious answer that you see yourself. This is what the mind has taught you to see, think and believe. Nevertheless, I ask that you look beyond what the mind’s interpretation of your reflection. Therefore, look deep within yourself. Likewise, use the reflection of yourself strictly as a passage to the inner self. Now, ask yourself again. What do you see? Who Cares about Your Opinion

Everyone has an opinion about something. But why? When it comes down to the nitty-gritty who cares about your opinion or what you think? Of course, other people might consider your viewpoint. But, does it really matter. On a superficial level your thoughts and beliefs seem important and valuable. And, yes, we use opinions every day in our interactions. But who truly cares about your opinion?

You care about your opinion. That is to say. You, in reference to the mind’s self-created image of this person called you. The mind demands attachment and depends on opinions as a means to validate your existence. After all, the mind bases everything on thoughts, beliefs and opinions. Thus, the ego tells you that you are nothing without your beliefs and judgments. And, you usually belief what the mind tells you. The following list are definitions of an opinion.

– A belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty.

– A personal view, attitude, or appraisal.

– The formal expression of a professional judgment

– A judgment or estimate of a person or thing with respect to character, merit, etc.

– A favorable estimate; esteem.

As a result, you need opinions if you accept mind labels and explanations as the reason why you live. The world is full of people with individual and collective beliefs and viewpoints. How did you first react when you the title of this article? Did you notice a spontaneous shift in your mind and body? This is because the mind needs beliefs and personal attitudes. You are the essence of spring.
Your smile shines like the sun after the rain.
This warmth and beauty highlight the magnificence of life.
Your laughter is a symphony.
Pure and so alive.
Everyone must only deeply listen to understand.
Unfortunately, there are still but a few that become aware.
Your eyes shine brighter than the stars.
Each is heavenly blazing and dancing.
It is as pleasingly as a dream.
Your innocence shines forth with a wisp of wisdom.
You intoxicate all with your presence.
Thus, this reveals the bliss of life.
You are precious… like the air I breathe.

Look there. A tree blossoms before your eyes. Now breathe deeply and allow the tree to reach out to you. It is inviting you to lead the dance of life. Each limb and leaf are pulsating with universal life energy. Furthermore, your awareness stimulates this energy You decide the manifestation and rhythm of the dance. Life, more accurately, the universe eagerly vibrates to the energy you manifest through the inner universe. 

Each person is the manifestation of springtime through the life energy we share. As is true for all experiences. Yes, people forget. And, then there is misunderstanding, frustration, anger and fear. Nevertheless, everything shares a universality through the presence of being. Therefore, let life flow as you continue on a path of inner self-discovery. Self-observation and Consciousness

Many people understand consciousness and spirituality as an expression of the self. And, instantly, the mind confuses this as a reference to the person, such as the human self or self-consciousness. Therefore, the mind restricts access to our innate knowledge of a true, universal self. Thus, ego and conditioned behavior block out the flow of universal life oneness. The mind insists that there is only the self from a human being standpoint. However, consciousness and self are ultimately an act of self-observation without mind interaction.

Therefore, do you wish to take a closer look at the self beyond yourself? If yes, this is easier than you might think. Look at everything surrounding you now. Where you are and what you are doing is of no importance because these are merely mind details. What do you see when you look around? What you are observing is yourself. You as a presence of being (self) are essentially in everything. Thus, this self-observation is not a reference to yourself the human form, the mental, emotional, and physical you. Instead, this refers to the self, the one that is universal. Ultimately both are one and the same as a singular state of being. But, let’s take one conscious step after the other. Beingness Includes Being Human

Existentially speaking, we cannot avoid being human. Nevertheless, the essence of our being is universal. Furthermore, this beingness is within all objects. Therefore, a see-saw effect between being human and universal beingness causes us to forget. And, this results in a daily no win – no win existence dilemma.

People usually, without realizing it, reject and wish to avoid the part of our being that is human. This is evident in the manner by which people experience living. Evolution aka, classic conditioning syndrome causes us to take sides. The majority of people think they are human and must reach for absolution through beliefs. Countless dogmas remain prevalent due to a side-effect resulting from the above-mentioned existence dilemma.

The mind obstructs conscious clarity.  Equally, the minds’ search for fulfillment, balance and bliss, blocks our awareness to universal beingness. This imbalance causes separation and fear to dominate/contaminate how we interact with ourselves, others and living life. Continue reading

How is your day? Are you having a lousy day or a good day? What is the determining factor in how you experience what happens? The answer is looking back at you 😊 in the mirror. You are the one and truly only determining factor in how you experience any given moment.

We often scurry through our daily activities in a state of limbo unawareness. And, life literally passes by without us knowing why.  Thus, situations and people seem to influence how we experience life. However, conditioning taught us to think and believe that things and people are responsible for how we live. But, what we have learned is not actually true. Therefore, you can change how you live. Deconditioning through awareness to how you observe living, offers enlightenment. Live life fully, don’t just exist. Let’s use the definition for limbo to expand our discussion.

Limbo is an uncertain period of awaiting a decision or resolution; an intermediate state or condition. This is how the majority of people experience life. Why is living this way so typical? Basically, because we are not aware enough to establish a change in our behavioral responses. Hence, the shadows of our behavior characteristics darken out the brilliance of living life. The act of being alive, in itself, is an incredible experience, regardless of temporary day to day downfalls. And, conscious living is quite easy to establish as baseline for living life. Laugh… Everything Is Fine

Are you familiar with the following mottos? Laugh and the world laughs with you. And. Laughter is the best medicine. The mind plagues us with stories of worry, problems and fears. Most of these are thoughts that we should not take too seriously.

Pause for one moment and be aware. Thoughts abound in our mind each moment. And, each and every thought wants to be in the spotlight. Now focus on any given thought or thoughts. Take a close conscious look at the thought(s). Is this thought or these thoughts really relevant to this moment? Probably not.

Therefore, practice accepting thoughts without attachment or dependency. Thoughts are merely thoughts. Nothing more and nothing less. Thoughts, as well as emotions, are not tangible. Thoughts and feelings cannot hurt you, never. Continue reading

Box of Thoughts and a Life Beyond

Let’s consider a practical exercise that can eliminate excessive mind chatter. We use terms such as boxed in and living in a box to express anxiety and frustration. Instead, let’s use these expressions as stepping stones to conscious living.

A box, of your own making, surrounds you each day. Thoughts and even emotions confine you within the box’s walls. You might think that the exercise I mention implies restricting thoughts and emotions. However, and foremost, you can’t stop the mind from thinking. Therefore, your practice is to do exactly the opposite. Acknowledge deeply that the majority of thoughts and emotions don’t honestly reflect the actuality of this moment.  Additionally, the act of simply being is a priority for consciously living regardless of the content within the mind’s box. Therefore, let’s focus on how to practice thinking in the box. But, experience the isness of life and your beingness outside of the box. Continue reading

Complexities and Our Sense of Being

Life is a mystery. At least, this is what the mind tells us. Therefore, this unknown mystery is one of the mind’s many complexities. And this is ongoing, since the dawn of our self-consciousness. Furthermore, the mind’s frantic attempts to rationalize hold us as a slave to its devices (behavior). Nevertheless, the practice of conscious awareness can elevate us far above the mind. There is one particular area relating to the age of conscious awakening that recently plagued me.

This use of the word plague indicates that I began to question my deep inner insight about the word being. This word signifies something that is. But, generally it is not possible to express beingness in words. Nevertheless, the other day, I began to question living and being. However, I didn’t so much question my existence as much as questioning my awareness to the explicit act of being. After all, being is an absolute.

Our understanding of the word being is similar to other behavioral aspects in our existence. We concentrate more on the word or meaning of being instead of its actuality…simply and profoundly being. Humankind’s complexities result from a misinterpretation of living. This is a loss of inner acknowledgment and acceptance to the flow of life energy. Continue reading
