Everyone Wants to Be a Superstar

Conditioning causes us to strive for more, and therefore we demand and expect many things. This is the downside of an imperialistic system that eventually became a democracy in most parts of the world. Thus, personal and social ramifications started early in our evolution. Therefore, there is a demand to do more, have more, and be more as a result of our development factors. Everyone wants to be a superstar.

There is only you, the one presence in this universe. And, it is you that is either consciously aware of this isness and oneness or not.

superstar

It is not necessary for us to consider social systems, politics, or even evolution. Still, reflecting on our evolution regarding the mind and object consciousness is a helpful spiritual stepping stone. The need to achieve more is evident in most industrial and heavily populated countries. Strive and do more is a way of life for most people. Continue reading

Complicated Mind Lost Within the Simplicity of Life

It’s complicated! How often have you either used this expression or heard it said? These complications seem to appear in not only relationships but in all aspects of our daily activities. However, is our existence, the universe, and life really that intricate?

Did you answer with yes? Okay, but let’s reflect on this topic before we so eagerly assume that everything is unbearably difficult. This type of mind conditioning usually causes us to view the universe as a place of countless complexities.

complicated

But, is life, love, or any detail of our existence really that complex? There are situations that warrant our attention. This is unavoidable for a life-form living in a universe with other objects. However, it is the mind that infests the moment with random thoughts and emotions. The mind is usually the master that dominates, and conscious awareness is the servant. Whereas, it should be the other way around.

Straightforwardly as We Live and Love in Life

Love seems so wonderful when it first appears. Time seems to stand still; other people, things, and situations are irrelevant. Why does this happen? Truthfully experiencing love or life involves several things, one of which is how we focus our attention. We can use love as a practical example to determine if a person is truthfully experiencing it. And, this applies also to life. The word truthfully is useful in expressing how we should observe the unfolding of this moment. Synonyms for this word are openly, accurately, genuinely, sincerely, and honorably, to name a few. There is one additional synonym that I wish to use to expand this discussion: straightforwardly.

straightforwardly

There is spiritual insight within and beyond either of these words, whether we use truthfully or straightforwardly to describe it. What I am referring to can be love, life, or any other object, thought, or emotion. Therefore, the key to a deeper understanding of you lies within your relationship with the mind. Thus, our relationship with the mind, the inner universe, and this moment is the highest priority in our life experience. This active observation is helpful to go beyond mind and ego adversities. It is otherwise very difficult to truthfully observe and know, much less interact with, the essence of now. Continue reading

Expectation Distracts Us from Living Life

Understandably, most people encounter day to day activities. And therefore, have primary concerns that distract them from living, truly living, and experiencing life and the presence of being. Expectation and demands overshadow our experience of life. Furthermore, and strangely enough, something unexpected is always happening. But, change is constant in a universe of things/objects.

expectation

It might still be difficult for you to accept, but you (presence) are constant. This will become obvious to you after the shift from mind to conscious awareness has begun. Yes, things happen and will continue to happen. But how you observe yourself and the mind will give you clarity. This, in turn, will determine how you perceive everything that unfolds in this moment. John Lennon offers beneficial insight into living life fully. Continue reading

One Is the Loneliest Number or Is it?

Object consciousness is an expressing of life. Universal consciousness is ultimately the experience of being one. On the other hand, the mind overshadows the evolution of self-consciousness. Thus, mind dominance manipulates and restricts our conscious awareness. This lack of awareness contributes to our conditioned behavior. Furthermore, this development simulates separation and duality. Thus, to illustrate in words, we overlook the totality of being. Pause for a moment and reflect on this insight. Logically and ultimately, there is only presence(being). And, this is universal.

one

But, the mind manipulates our consciousness into playing a game. Likewise, the mind insists it knows the game rules. But what about rules that the mind doesn’t know? Here the mind insures that it will sooner or later tells us what it doesn’t know now. Alas, the weight of mind conditioning is a heavy burden on our personal and collective experiences. Additionally, belief structures have the destructive impact of a runaway locomotive. Detachment from the mind, likewise our awakening to consciousness, can change everything. Then the two, object and universal consciousness, suddenly become one. Continue reading

Labeling Love Causes Us to Forget Loving

We started to define our experiences after reaching a given level of self-consciousness. Labeling life and love became a necessity based solely on unconscious conditioned behavior. Love, among other characteristics, became an obsession. It captured our desires and fantasies. Most likely we then became confused, anxious, and fearful of it. However, stubbornly we continually interpret it, define it, and then at some point redefine it. This clearly indicates that the detail content of love overwhelms us. Thus, we have difficulty in doing the obvious. To love unconditionally and to receive love unconditionally.

labeling

This is in reference to the mind’s relentless insistence on complicating life and love. Both are simplistic in their essence. However, we insist on labeling both with countless interpretations. We build intricate assumptions and belief structures to validate our existence. Nevertheless, our deep desire is to openly love and care and to receive love and care. But often doubt and fear overwhelm us. So we depend on the mind to tell us about life and love. Do we wish to continue this mind servitude? Or are we willing to let go and live and love in harmony with ourselves, others, and the universe? Continue reading

Confrontations Begin and End with You

The world seems to spin around in an array of daily confrontations. It seems that demands constantly provoke us. But, are these anxieties real?  Let just say that everything seems real if that is what you think and believe. The concept of time is an example. Clock time is at the top of the list of stress factors we confront. So, let’s pause (pun intended) for a moment. Is clock time or any other concept to blame for how we interact with it? No, can be the only answer. The number of challenges seem endless. But again, I ask, are they real? Time is useless. Yes, it has a practical use. But is time a requirement to live?  No, unless you choose to live within this structure of the mind.

confrontations

The content of any experience is irrelevant. But, you choose how to observe an experience. Choose means a choice that comes from a level of consciousness. Conscious awareness means no outside influence can distort your field of presence. Also, being aware means no inner conflicts, such as from the mind. We could then stop repetitive patterns that occur in most experiences. Continue reading

non-attachment

Non-attachment Gives Us Universal Freedom

The world is changing. You, me, everyone, and everything are changing. It often seems too much. We spin in circles but don’t seem to move. Likewise, silence and equilibrium seem to remain just out of reach. Oh, there are brief seconds of tranquility. And, we experience a moment of blissful harmony on occasion. Still, our desire is to live enlightened in life. Well, guess what? Living in harmony and balance is possible through the practice of non-attachment.

non-attachment

Does tiredness, anxiety, and even fear plague you each day? Does it seem that everything is too much? Stop being the puppet and reclaim your birthright as a being of universal proportion. Practice embracing the pulse of life that flows through you. Yes, life energy manifests through you. However, this does not mean that you will not encounter difficulties. There will be health problems and other issues. After all, the body is impermanent. Furthermore, these situations are details of living but are not life. You can be the bliss that you seek. Just let go and be. Continue reading

Things Are not Thoughts Nor of Mind

Objects are not in any way, shape, or form related to our thoughts. Does this should odd or even wrong? Still, let’s consider this further. Things manifest in the universe. They are there without the need for classification. Yesterday, I was relaxing during the transition into meditation. I was aware of a bird singing, a lawnmower, and an airplane during this shift in perspective. There, within it all, was a state of presence and I was observing the brains interactions.

things

Here it is beneficial to acknowledge how the mind is interacting. This is because the things detected were uninteresting to the mind. Instead, it cleverly disregarded everything because the mind is egocentric. Nevertheless, it was busy labeling everything. Furthermore, the mind was having a wonderful time talking to itself.

This never-ending self-dialogue went on an on as the mind chattered away. The mind literally seemed to be on a crusade. The thoughts consisted of assumptions, questions, and supposed answers. But, everything that the mind was talking to itself about was irrelevant. The mind’s dialogue was a self-analysis such as “why I like this” and “why I don’t like that”. Continue reading

Detachment or Non-attachment? Why not Both?

Let’s start by clarifying what each word represents to us for practical purposes. There is a difference and yet there is not. Therefore, the practice of both can be very beneficial in the process of conscious awakening. Why? Because detachment is a vital stepping stone to non-attachment. Accordingly, Wikipedia categorizes both with the same meaning. Still it is always best to remember that these are only words. We undergo a transformation from mind existence to conscious living. This is the experience of being. There is ultimately no need to label the act of being alive. Nor is there a need to define or explain how we became aware of consciousness.

detachment

Still, let’s establish a common understanding. Detachment can, at first, cause avoidance, separation, and suffering. But, please don’t let this distract you. This is because the process also allows us to awaken. A shift in our state of being (living) begins. Detachment is the minds attempt to not care when you actually do care. To not love when you do truly love. This disinterest in living and loving is only a mind-illusion. It is not the true self. Continue reading
