Feather Floating Free Just Like You

Many people may be familiar with the feather at the beginning and end of the movie Forrest Gump. A reference made at the end of the movie suggests that we live life like a feather in the wind. How accurate is this analogy?

feather

We use the term destiny or fate to describe the unfolding of events in our existence. However, this is different than observing life as a whole. A feather floats back and forth in the wind. Is this its fate in life or is it simply going with the flow as the wind blows? The latter is more likely true.

Now ask yourself this same question. Should we label everything that happens to us as fate? And, do thoughts, people and basically everything blow us back and forth in the dimension of life? Which is it? However, the first question is difficult to determine accurately. Is it one or the other, or both? Let’s simply say that it is neither.

Is there really such a phenomenon as fate? You can label how you decide to observe life as fate, if you wish. So, does the mind, other people and situations manipulate how you live? If yes, then you allow this to happen. Either unknowingly or knowingly. Do you wish for clarity and enlightenment? If yes, then you must look within yourself and observe the mind, from outside of the mind. It is possible. And, easier than you think. No pun intended by using the word think. Nevertheless, please don’t accept the mind’s interpretations of life and how you should live. Instead “be” life. And, live in the acknowledgement that you influence the flow of life. After all, your true essence is within everything you experience.

Are We Just Like Dust in the Wind?

Is there any truth to the saying we are just like dust in the wind? Is everything meaningless? The unconscious person will say yes. No one is sure who wrote the Book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible. However, this person understood the meaninglessness of our mind-generated existence. This is the Passage from Ecclesiastes as translated in the Bible (ISV).

“I observed every activity done on earth. My conclusion: all of it is pointless—like chasing after the wind.”
Ecclesiastes 1:14, Bible (ISV)

Nevertheless, we are approaching a period of conscious evolution. We no longer continue down a path of delusion-induced duality and insignificant mind details. People around the world are awakening to a different understanding of humanity and life. This could allow humankind to accept our existence. And through this acceptance we may end suffering while nurturing conscious expansion. We are embracing the universal self within us that is beyond mind and body. Continue reading

Knowing Love Deeply Is to Be Alive Completely

Knowing doesn’t always originate from theory or fact-finding. There is a knowledge resonating within us, through us, and around us. It is here to experience. There is a true knowing within life and of love. Universal intelligence derives from life and nurtured by conscious energy input. We need not search, expect, or even demand it. Life and love are fundamentally energy. Therefore, there is always life. And, there is always love. The key is to look beyond the mind and simply know, accept, and allow everything to be.

Knowing

There is something I have inside.
You have it to, it would seem.
It is there both day and night.
Thus, joy fills each day.
The nights are peaceful; dreams abound.
What I have…what you have…is for us to feel.
It is a treasure.
It is love.
You cannot buy love.
It is not something that you simply find.
Rather it is love that has found you.
Love, you may say, is often so far away.
When it is there, why does it not stay?
Feeling love is thrilling.

Talk, Talk, Talk, the Mind Never Stops

This article offers helpful stepping stones during the shift from the conditioned mind to conscious living. Have you truly awakened to consciousness? Be honest with yourself. This is not a trick question. How can you determine your conscious state of awareness to consciousness? And no, you have not necessarily awakened to consciousness just because the mind tells you that you are awake. Does it often seem that you and the mind talk to each other?

talk

Well, how you answer this question is a useful stepping stone to determine your conscious awareness. Therefore, first let’s look at the path of stepping stones to conscious living. The following three jumping-off points can serve as an overview of the conscious awakening process. Continue reading

Blossom Just Like a Flower in the Spring

The unfolding of any person’s conscious awakening process may first involve illness or hardships. But a person free of sickness or financial burden may also become enlightened. Either is fine but not a prerequisite to experiencing conscious enlightenment. Life does not take sides or evaluate an object due to existential merits. It will happen when you are ready, or it will not; you decide. It is as simple as falling off a log; life is there to blossom through you.

Mind Congestion Stops Life’s Natural Flow

The word congestion invokes various images in our mind. And, that is exactly the point. The mind blocks out and can literally suffocate the experience of life. So firstly, our practice is to accept the mind’s activities. However, presence is not actually of mind or body. Yes, mind and body flow within presence. But, the objects with this moment are not the moment itself. This realization is a vital stepping stone on the path of conscious awakening.

congestion

Mind congestion, on the other hand, causes the nature flow to slow or eventually stop. Specifically, this suggests a blockage caused by thoughts. Let’s use a personal experience to illustrate. I wanted to take a shower. I placed a cloth bath mat on the floor in front of the sink. My wish was to shave before the shower. Continue reading

world

The World is Changing Because of You

The ego and mind conditioning are still very predominant in many people. This results in a strengthening of fear and anxieties in humans. It is difficult for people to go beyond this human nature and nurture an awakening to consciousness. The Bible, among other literature, has stories that offer possible insight into a conscious awakening. There is one such example in which Jesus told the disciples about the end of the world. However, the word world had another meaning during this period of our history. Jesus lived during a period when it basically meant an age or an epoch. Jesus may very well have given his disciples and all human beings a message about the awakening of consciousness. But have we misinterpreted his teachings?

world

Still, a new age or era is within our reach, consciously speaking. It may very well be necessary for our evolution. This change will affect our manner of thinking and believing. It may indicate the end of the world as we have known it. This could mean a true apocalypse, an end to everything that the mind has interpreted and defined. This does not necessarily mean an end but rather a new beginning. Whereby we base reality on conscious interaction and not on mind content, interpretation, and definition. Continue reading

awakening

Awakening to Life Instead of Denying It

Existence factors add complexity to the simply state of being. At least, this is what we think. Still, we can experience a harmonious state of being through active awareness. The initial conscious awakening or enlightenment is the recognition of this state of being. We can call this being aware of awareness. Eckhart Tolle made this statement an icon.

awakeningAwakening to the dimension of life energy consciousness is the first step to exist in discovering inner peace. Dissatisfaction, worry, fear, and other ailments cause inner disharmony. Hence, the outer universe reflects the inner universe. I cannot emphasize this enough. Get the inner universe in order and the outer universe will become clear. The acknowledgement and expansion of universal consciousness is always possible. But still, difficulties arise because we disregard our true essence. Continue reading

change

Change How We See Ourselves

A change in how we live is unfolding worldwide. Living life consciously was not always obvious. A deafness has muffled the constant roar of life. Moreover, we often misunderstand how to live after the awakening of consciousness. This is because the mind experiences no satisfaction in being consciously aware. Thus, the mind keeps us looking. But, we will never find something that we already are in essence. Therefore, we use words as an attempt to explain the unexplainable. Spiritual sounds great. Spirituality even better. Enlightenment is at the top of the list.

change

But, let’s consciously and impartially reflect on what this implies. We consciously awaken. Great! But usually we then begin to think that we are spiritual. This type of thinking gives us temporary experiences of contentment and happiness. But, then the next thing happens and we become frustrated and unhappy. Furthermore, the mind then says that we have failed and are not yet spiritual. The mind will encourage you to continue reaching for enlightenment.

So, we go back to the spiritual drawing board in the hope of finding the cause for our failure. We think of what to do to be spiritual. There is always an expectancy that accompanies thoughts about what enlightenment means. I can let you in on a secret that is not really a secret. We will never know enlightenment by using the mind as a springboard to experience it. But, the mind is relentless. It is always very helpful in reviewing a game plan to reach spirituality.
