Wildfire of the Mind Burning Out of Control

Have you seen a wildfire burning in a field or forest. A single spark ignites a fire that engulfs everything in its path. Furthermore, the spreading flames seem impossible to stop. And, this destructive pattern is what happens to thoughts and emotions within an unaware person. Therefore, conscious presence and living in unattachment are essential in smothering these out-of-control thoughts and feelings.

wildfire

Mental and emotional wildfires usually consume your presence primarily due to unawareness and conditional behavior. Let’s use an everyday occurring example to illustrate. You experience a moment of serenity and nothing, not even your own mind, distracts or burdens you. Suddenly, a spark as a thought ignites in your mind. This thought kindles another thought and another. How is this possible? You are no longer at peace with yourself. Now, agitation and confusion consume your presence of being. Thoughts burn out-of-control within you.

You ask yourself how this can happen. And, you assume that work, a traffic jam or a crying baby cause your frustration and lack of conscious presence. But you should not base any experience on what you think in that moment. Instead, how you experience your own presence decides how you will live. This involves how you observe the moment, how you respond and how you behave. Conscious presence and unattachment to the wildfire of thoughts shift your state of being away from the mind. Waste Not, Want Not, in the Presence of Being

Are you familiar with this proverb? The first documented use of this adage was in 1576 by Richard Edwardes. The passage is found on page 88 of his written work “The Paradise of Danty Devices”. This is the excerpt from the page as written in Early Modern English. “For want is next to waste, and shame doeth synne ensue.” There was a slight revisal of the saying that became popular around 1772. “Willful waste makes woeful want.” The wisdom of this axiom is obvious. And, the benefits of conservation are apparent relating to all aspects of our existence. Nevertheless, people are notorious for having behavior patterns that are completely the opposite of sensible and thrifty.

waste

Let’s inquire into energy efficiency pertaining to your presence in the vast nothingness of the universe. Your and our focus is to consciously acknowledge and conserve universal energy. The first law of thermodynamics is useful to illustrate the vibrations and flow of universal energy. Likewise, the Law of Conservation of Energy states that energy cannot be created or destroyed, but instead transfers from one form to another. In simpler terms, the total amount of energy in an isolated system remains constant. To paraphrase, the universal is a system that entails the transformation of energy unbiasedly transferring from object to object. Perhaps, this insight will answer the question that some people ask. What is universal oneness Continue reading

The Discovery of a Lifetime Is Waiting Within You

It is you that brightens the eternal flow of presence.
Life and living abound from within.
Energy flows to you, through you and beyond.
You are the beingness of life itself.
Journey the path within to self-discovery.
The steps you take enlighten as the one self-awakens.
Are you aware of the conscious light that radiates within you?
Don’t let the mind confuse or restrict you.
Oh yes, the mind is a puppet master.

discovery

You chase after the brightness of life.
But true realization reveals that this light is within you.
And, with practice thoughts no longer fool you.
Do not search somewhere out there for answers.
Instead, look within and allow the journey to begin.
Openly and consciously observe the mind.
Your aware presence illuminates the mind’s darkness.
Conscious awareness of your being will guide you.
Travel the path of inner self-discovery.
You exemplify living through your being.
And, you influence the manifestation of life. Continue reading

Wishing for Paradise Causes Confusion and Denial

The world has become a playground filled with mental and materialistic superficiality. And yes, there are many things that we enjoy as human beings. This encourages us to continue on and want more. Still, deep within we already know that more will never be enough. Thus, we complain. And, frustration overshadows our day to day activities. Furthermore, reaching for more invokes attachment and dependency. Everyone expects more to be waiting for them down the road or just around the next corner. Therefore we seek and wish for a life in paradise. People refer to this behavior as the Tahiti Syndrome.

paradise

Yes, a paradise is within your reach. But, you won’t live in paradise if you use the mind trying to get you there. A deeper awareness of living opens the portal to conscious presence. And, the practice of an unconditional presence of being offers the pure peace you seek. Our experiences are manifestations flowing from frequencies within universal energy. Equally, it is plausible and acceptable to write that we tap into this stream of vibrating energy. And, our use of universal energy either unconsciously or consciously happens in any given moment. Conceptual Mind Behavior Restricts Aware Presence

Time is such an absurd tool of the mind. And, yet, the majority of people still think and believe that this mind-made conceptual structure defines everything a person experiences. But, let’s travel to another planet somewhere in the universe. Strangely, the developing species of a distant planet would contradict our mathematics and timeline structures. Instead, this alien civilization labels our calculation of one year as one month. Furthermore, what we structure as one month is one day.

conceptual

And, likely, another planet on the other side of the universe would structure conceptual time in a completely different fashion. Thus, it seems likely that everything is a mind structure that depicts illusions that overshadow the presence of being. Therefore, in example, any given person conceives the concept of time as moving very fast. While, another person manifests a timeline that is slow. Neither are accurate or tangible. Nevertheless, the usage of our presence determines how we interact with life. Thus, conceptual mind behavior influences the manifestation of our beingness. Continue reading

Anchor Away It Is Smooth Sailing Ahead

Be truthful to yourself. You often feel a sensation of disorientation relating to how you live life. Thus, you feel confusion. Nevertheless, you still acknowledge an openness and clarity originating from the depth and core of your being. This spaciousness within you is calm and soothing. Your well-being and long-lasting bliss seem so close in such a moment of conscious presence. However, it seems there is always something that prevents you from remaining in the awareness of an unconditional beingness. There is always a thought, emotion, person or situation that interferes and distracts you. A weight grips you tightly and holds you in the shadows of the mind. And, this weight is an anchor that restricts you from moving forward into the light of conscious awareness.

anchor

Anchor the Self Within the Presence of Being

The weight of the minds anchor increases throughout life. The burden of this anchor consists of thoughts, emotions, assumptions, labels and even beliefs. But, all of which are only phantoms and thus, illusions of the mind. However, evolution, social development and these repetitive unconscious behavior patterns result in a conditional mind. So, the mind fools you.

Still, you desire conscious enlightenment within the flow of life. Therefore, realize that living life is similar to sailing a boat. And, a well-trimmed sailboat with minimal cargo onboard gives you the opportunity to sail almost anywhere. (Conscious presence without mind detail baggage.) Similarly, the beingness of your person sails best within a virtual domain of unconditional possibilities. Thus, the focus of your presence of being determines how and where you glide within the flow of life. On the other hand, the mind is cautious, selective and resistant. Therefore, it is not uncommon for the mind to repeatedly throw an anchor overboard as it questions and labels everything. Continue reading

Expansion of Flowing Conscious Isness

You want fulfillment. Perhaps, through conscious enlightenment. But, most people seek confirmation of their existence through acts of mind intervention. Thus, the pursuit of satisfaction is a game that involves needing something outside of yourself. What happens when you no longer focus on your human nature? Yes, this seems strange to visualize. Still let’s consider an experience when you felt unification with your surroundings. The presence of other people, places or situations was compatible to your sense of presence in such a moment. Is it accurate to describe this experience as a conscious expansion beyond time and space? And, no, I am not trying to be dramatic. The vastness of this expansion is so intense that you lose your identity as a person. You free-fall with no definitions or boundaries. This is an instant of non-attachment to thought or emotion.

expansion

Your aware isness becomes the focus of presence that nurtures conscious energy flow and expansion. Concepts of time and space fade as the total presence of being prioritizes the act of living. The physical and mental part of you will continue to function. But, the conscious flow of aware presence primarily focuses on the isness of being. The isness of living suggest the act of existing as something, which for us means human existence. And, isness is the state of anything as it is now. So, are you unconsciously or consciously living?  Continue reading

Yin Yang and Various Diversities of the Mind

Are you familiar with the term Yin yang (Yinyang)? The origin of this word is obscure. But, there are inscriptions dating to Chinese divination practices in the 14th century that use this symbolization. The representation of this symbol invokes ideas of duality in most contemporary people. And, essentially, this is accurate. However, a strictly dualistic understanding and interpretation of this word is inadequate. Conditional behaviorism (law of effect) restricts our conscious perceptivity of the oneness within that, what we deem as opposites.

yin yang

I tend to dive deep into existential and philosophical ideas. Thus, some people view my articles as tedious. Therefore, here is a short-form synopsis of our discussion today before I continue. This is the focus point of the article. Through daily practice unlearn what you have learned, let go and expand the depth of conscious presence in all experiences. Firstly, the mind loves interpreting and judging almost everything as separate and opposite. Often, the mind will tell you something is wrong and must be different. This bias behavior results from unconscious conditional factors. Nevertheless and Henceforth, observe the whole instead of the pieces. The oneness within being is the depth and truth of Yinyang. Thus, focus on your conscious beingness within aware presence.

Suffering Is Unnecessary and You Know It so Let Go

Something is always happening to you. And, the mind interjects thoughts and emotions as reactions to these daily situations. Thus, often this overwhelming mental behavior causes suffering because the mind interprets an experience as bad or unacceptable. Let’s use the example of hitting your finger with a hammer to illustrate. You hit your finger and it hurts. This is a fact. But, the mind construes the hurt finger as a drama due to countless reasons that are fictional illusions. Hence, thoughts and feelings attachment themselves to the pain in your finger. This mental behavior then becomes a repetitive pattern, if you are unaware, that might continue for minutes, hours or days. And, this causes the suffering that you feel.

suffering

A person hits their finger with a hammer and it hurts. Nevertheless this is pain and not suffering. Suffering is an inflection of the mind in an unaware person that can eventually result in mental and bodily dysfunction. Experiences stimulate the brain. Coincidentally, the mind then tries to interpret, define and label all brain stimuli. Accordingly, this usually causes an unaware person to feel confusion and anxiety during most experience. Why? Obviously, because there is not any sense of conscious presence. Unconscious behavior induces illusions of complexity. But, these illusions are only of the mind and usually not derived from any actuality of presence. Continue reading

How Is Your Partnership with Life?

You are a manifestation of life energy and the essence of being is ultimately universal. Therefore, do not cling to the mind or the details of our existence in an attempt to experience the conscious nature of being. This being is the isness of living. Do not allow the mind to play its games with you. Life engulfs you as a frequency within a universal flow. Acknowledge the act of being. Realize that you determine the manifestation of this flow through your partnership with life.

partnership

Thus, you are the center of the universe and everything is spiraling outward and inward. You reflect all things such as a shadow that always accompanies the object that casts it. Hence, you are within and without, absolute as one in a state of beingness. Practicing presence is being the isness of presence. The mind does not want to acknowledge the difference between living and a true state of aliveness. Your awareness to the life that is within and surrounding you basically determines how you experience everything. Continue reading
