Day after day details of our existence distract us from the aware presence of our being.

Details and More Details of Our Existence

It is true that any individual cannot truly change the behavior of another person or the details of a situation. However, it is possible for each person to change his or her perspective in each moment. It is very difficult for the mind to accept any given moment at face value. Nevertheless, conscious enlightenment shines through when a person acknowledges the simply act of being in this moment. Your state of being is as it is and not as the mind tells us.

Life is more than the details of our existence.

The mind tells us stories and details constructed from memory, interpretation and expectation. But, usually nothing is as the mind tells us. Thus, the mind establishes a storybook of our existence. And, the pages of this book compile daily through unawareness to this mind behavior. A person that unconsciously lives carries a heavy burden. We carry personal and collective demands, expectancy and countless insignificant existence specifics that are completely insignificant. But, actually being and accepting our existence within the flow of life is different than what the mind tells us. Do you often feel fatigue, frustration and anxiety? This dooming darkness of calamity results from not consciously observing our relationship and partnership with the mind.  Thus, personal and collective baggage fills the minds colossal storybook. Symbolizing Life Restricts Actually Living Life

It is true that any individual cannot truly change the behavior of a person or the details of a situation. However, it is possible for each person to change his or her perspective in each moment. It is very difficult for the mind to accept what happens in any given moment. The key is to realize that each person determines the outcome of his or her life experience. This unfolds simply through the observe of living. I cannot write or say the following often enough. Your relationship with the mind is capable of changing everything. Not the mind itself, but simply through your aware relationship with it. This determines how you interact with the mind. And, how you observe the mind, yourself and any situation regulates the consequence (flow) of any thought, feeling or manifestation.

symbolizing

On the other hand, symbolizing details of your experiences, other than for basic practical use, restricts aware presence. Thus, the manifestation of presence flows in parallel with our energy output that is either conscious or unconscious. Likewise, we use symbolization to create illusions of living and loving. Wiktionary.org offers us the following in reference to symbolic representation. Symbolization is the unconscious mental representation of one thing by another. Therefore, use of a symbol is also an attempt to resolve assumptions, questions and interpretations of how we live. Symbolizing structures our life experience so that it is more familiar and recognizable in accordance with a thought or feeling. Continue reading

owe

You Owe It to Yourself

Have you heard this statement before? Let’s look at the following idioms from a spiritual perspective. Many people insist that someone or something owes them. He or she owes me. Life owes me. Or, even commonly said. The universe owes me. Let’s look closer at this last phrase. What does the universe own you? The majority of the populace expects a reward or a type of payback. But, for what? Furthermore, and Likewise, isn’t it you and I that owes the universe for our existence? Nevertheless, the universe and life don’t expect any reimbursement. Still, the bottom line is that the universe and life owe us nothing.

owe

However, do you owe yourself? If yes, then what? Acknowledge the beingness of your person. Correspondingly, realize the depth and significance of your essence as a universal being. It is beneficial to know that you don’t need to do anything, other than to be yourself. This suggests not trying to be someone or something different. Consequently, you don’t need to try to do this or that. It is enough to just be. Your isness, without attachments, offer an unbiased acceptance of being, regardless of any temporary details within the act of living. Continue reading

devices

Devices of the Mind and How You Live

We convince ourselves that there must be a reason for living. And, there are many devices that the mind uses in attempts to justify life and living. Thus, our mental development uses, among other attributes, the power of beliefs to facilitate its needs. The awakening of our self-consciousness started a chain of events that complicate our existence due to these mind devices. Nevertheless, self-consciousness, when observed and applied correctly, is a portal to living in a state of enlightened beingness. There is an evolutionary process, of mind, body and consciousness that is an ongoing development. Strangely, the mind insists on dominating our evolution through behavior tendency. Therefore, both the physical body and conscious presence wither in the mind’s shadows. And, these mind interventions contaminate the flow and manifestation of universal energy.

devices

Additionally, mind clutter such as thoughts and feelings cause confusion and fear. The details of our existence add static to the flowing vibrations of the universe. This clouds conscious clarity and restricts our awareness to living in the presence of our beingness. Continue reading

Words Are Only Signposts to What is Beyond

A rose by any other name would seem so sweet. This excerpt from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet is beneficial in our inquiry into conscious living. However, a word through expressed interpretation or definition of any person, situation or thing limits active presence and conscious expansion. Thus, the brain confuses us through labels that represent a given reality. But, these words are ultimately insignificant to a person that is consciously living in the isness of now.

words

Shakespeare could easily have written a word by any other name would seem so sweet. It is apparent that Shakespeare’s written works share philosophical perception into living life beyond mind generated details. Perhaps, he understood the ultimate futility of any word in labeling something.  Let’s consider that words or definitions of anything do not actually change or affect the isness (beingness) of something.  A stepping stone to conscious awakening lies within this insight. A Lesson in Conscious Awakening

Conscious awareness anchors you in active presence. And, everything offers you a lesson as you walk the inner path of self-discovery. Thus, the benefits of conscious presence become obvious as you awaken more and more during everyday interactions. Conscious awakening and shifting from thought-based living to conscious living often seems overwhelming, even impossible. However, this only seems difficult until you are able and ready to release yourself from the mind. Please understand, the mind needs you. But, you do not need the mind. That is to say, your conscious beingness is an extension of universal energy without thought or emotion.

lesson

I share two personal examples below as examples of universal energy manifestation resulting from my influence on this flow. You, I and everyone either consciously or unconsciously observe the manifestation of universal energy. Likewise, I assure you that you have constant influence over your life experience. You will know everything differently once you shift to consciously observing your interaction with life. Conscious awakening is a lesson in unconditional living. Therefore, the acknowledgement and active observation of how you live offers you spiritual enlightenment. Continue reading

revolution

The Revolution Begins with You

Revolution, in reference to words, might be as significant to conscious awakening as the word now. But, please remember. Words are useful in daily interaction. But, words are, at best, only sign posts to what lies beyond.

revolution

Thus, with this understanding, let’s consider conscious awakening as a revolution that is long overdue. Yes, the mind overshadows this uprising. However, deep within and beyond mind influences is something indescribable.  Aware presence is the gateway to this almost magical dimension. The majority of people know, at some level, that something beyond all this mind madness is available to us. Nevertheless, most people are still not able to awaken and claim this state of conscious presence as their own.

It is a person’s state of awareness to the dimension of conscious presence that is foremost significant. This is a conscious revolution that has the potential to change your experience of life and living. But, the mind functions according to repetitious mind patterns that distract and restrict. Nevertheless, you can start a rebellion and free your true self from the minds manipulative and restrictive dominance. There are various writings, such as the following, beneficial in your shift from mind conditioned behavior to conscious presence awareness. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind… Romans 12:2 Continue reading

A Roller Coaster Ride Called Life

We call love and life a roller coaster ride, but why? Why do we expect difficulties when we love? This behavior is synonymous with other reactions to basically any experience in life. It would seem that we want everything to be intricate. And, this upside-down relationship with the mind has developed during our evolution. However, don’t let this servitude behavior hold you captive. Robin Sharma wrote the following in his book The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari: A Fable About Fulfilling Your Dreams & Reaching Your Destiny. Robin Sharma suggests that the mind is a wonderful servant but a terrible master.

roller

Let’s reflect on probable implications of this insight. A person in balance with the mind, body and and inner self will experience a harmonious relationship with life. Thus, loving and living can be a blissful roller coaster ride. And, contrary to Robin Sharma’s suggestion. Our affiliation with the mind does not necessarily prescribe one as the master and the other as a servant. Please remember that the oneness of life that we communicate through written and spoken gestures is not just a word. It is the totality in a flow of unmanifested and manifested energy. Naturally, this includes the frequency generated as love.

veil

Veil of Fear that Confuses You

It seems forever since I observed a tree leaf sailing so gracefully to a stream below.
The summer had been so warm, the days so long.
How long has it been since that moment in time?
Was it one year, ten years, or was it just yesterday?
The mind casts a veil of fear that is so confusing.
Time can be so misleading, ever so fragile.
Not real, and yet, seems so tangible.
And, yet, life as a boy seemed so simple back then… or was it?

veil

No, not really.
Life truly understood… is neither nor.
Life just is.
However, I sat next to a stream in the forest each day.
Somehow, lost between here and there.
The water flowing just as life flows.
Life and the stream seem everlasting.
And, so I often sat just watching the water flow by.
Life bubbling from the water.
Curiosity occasionally caused me to toss a stone in the water.
The mind always asking why.
But, more often than not I just sat.
I was oblivious as life flowed by. Continue reading

stream

The Stream of Life and What You Perceive

I remember a flowing stream from long ago. And, this stream played a significant role in my childhood. Furthermore, it is a beneficial focus point that I use during my ongoing conscious awakening. I grew up in a mountainous area. There were ponds, lakes and brooks everywhere. I explored such places and the nearby woodland during my childhood. Have you ever crossed a shallow mountain brook? This is where a person can experience real perception. Your level of awareness is very active during an attempt to cross a brook. Otherwise, a misperception or unaware assumption results in a wet foot or a cold bath in the water.

stream

Therefore, crossing a mountain stream gives us an opportunity to appreciate and practice aware presence. Likewise, this state of presence offers a chance to flow within universal consciousness. Thus, we realize our totality as both object and universal consciousness in such a moment. Continue reading
